Small Business Assistance Program

Do you require a loan to help start-up, maintain, or expand your business in the Sea to Sky Corridor - including Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton areas?

If you do, then talk to Community Futures Howe Sound about the Small Business Assistance (SBA) Program. This program is designed to provide current or emerging businesses, located within the Sea to Sky corridor, with financial support necessary for business start-up or business expansion.

The SBA program provides loans that are repayable in full with interest. If you are unable to obtain a small business loan from a commercial lending agency, Community Futures Howe Sound will assess your financing needs and take the necessary steps to assist in fulfilling those needs. For more information on the Small Business Assistance Program, please click on the SBA guide below to view and download guides, and loan applications.

Self Employment Program**

If you are interested in starting a business in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, you may be interested in the Self Employment Program (SE Program).  Designed to provide eligible participants with supplemental income while starting a new business in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, the Self Employment Program has launched hundreds of successful small businesses in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton over the past 14 years. The program provides business counselling, business plan development, financial support and training on key business topics to new and eligible entrepreneurs.

**Due to a brief transition period mandated by the provincial government, the services provided by this program are not currently available to new applicants.  A revised program will be launched in April 2012.  Please check back in the new year if you are interested in learning more about our services, or send us an e-mail if you would like to be added to our contact list.  As we receive more information about the new, we will send out updates about the newly revamped Self Employment Program.
